Elder Long in New York: May 14, 2014. - Mother's Day and Temple Visit!

Hey All!

So, we get the wonderful opportunity of attending the temple...again!
The city is an awesome place, so I can't complain.

Like you said, not much has happened in two days. After we skyped, we
taught john on Facebook and it went really well! He said that he might
want to move his baptism back because he dosent think he can finish
the Book of Mormon by then. Which is okay cause he has tons of AP
finals and what not. So, it might not be the 24th, but it will be
sometime! We went to a dinner appointment on Monday. The family lives
pretty far away. Probably about 50-60 minutes. And there is a road
that we take to there house which looks like a road from that game I
used to play called "Need for Speed". Man that was fun to drive on! It
looked like the speed limit was suppose to be about 30 mph, maybe 40,
but it was 65 mph! And we have a Subaru! I was having a lot of fun
with it, haha. Elder Steiner and Elder Jesse were sitting in the back
and they were screaming like little girls. Especially Elder Steiner.
He has a jokingly feminine voice, haha. They said they felt like they
were in a video game. What was cool, was the other elders had to be
back for an appointment, and as we were leaving we were gonna be 10
minutes late (According to the GPS) and when I was driving all crazy,
I shaved off 15 minutes! So we got there 5 minutes early! I felt
pretty awesome.

Well, not much has happened! I love y'all and I'm grateful for your
support! Have a fantastic week and don't forget to read your
scriptures! Classic missionary commitment. But seriously. Don't
forget....
